Hi Friends! Sorry I haven't written in a while. We've been busy with the holidays and some exciting news. I am going to be a big brother! I'm so excited to have a baby brother to play with. I am already practicing holding a baby and being gentle. I can't wait for my brother to come in March so we can be best friends.
I've also been learning and growing so much. I say a lot of words now in English and Korean. I like to climb everything and explore. I have a favorite sign language video that I watch almost every day and can even do the signs for water, monkey, hat and lots of other things.
I promise to post new pictures soon but in the meantime, here is my baby brother:

First Haircut
I had my first haircut and it wasn't scary at all. It was really quick and when it was all over, I got a cool, yellow balloon. Now I'm a handsome boy!

More summertime...
Hi everyone! It's been so long since I posted here. We've been really busy this summer but I've been having so much fun. I am almost 14 months old now and am such a big boy. I run around everywhere and love to play with big kids. I am talking some but mommy thinks I mostly speak Korean. My favorite things to do are playing with toys and going outside to see the dogs. I hope one day we can have our own dog! Here are some pics mommy took this summer.

Karaoke Time!
Today we had karaoke day! I had so much fun singing into the microphone. My mommy and daddy think I might be a rock star one day.
Family Reunion
We went to Atlanta to visit with lots of family. I rode on a big plane and when we got there, I saw my Papa, Granny, Aunts and Uncles and my three cousins. I especially have fun with my cousin Nick because we are exactly the same age! I swam in Papa's pool and ate lots of good food. It was so much fun but I was happy to get home because vacations are hard work!

One year old
Dear Carter,
You are one year old today. I really can't believe it was one year ago that we welcomed you into the world at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles. You were so big and gave me a pretty hard time but you were definitely worth every second of pain. I hope I can write you a letter every year on your birthday and that some day you can read my words and understand how much joy you've brought us. Not just your dad and I but everyone around you. People everywhere comment about how happy you are and tell me you are always smiling. You have been such an easy baby and are growing into a happy little toddler. You walk and eat lots of different foods and laugh and say a few words. Right now your favorite thing to do is clap your hands and say "YAY!" I taught you how to do that. Carter, you make every day so happy and full of joy. I can't imagine life without you. Each day I wake up and your smiling face reminds me why I'm here...to be your mom. I can't wait to celebrate all your birthdays with you and watch you grow up into a man. I hope you will be a good person and have respect for others. We all think you will do great things in life but right now we are content just watching you grow up. Thank you for being such a wonderful son and making every day happy.
Love,
Mama

My Dol Party
We had my big dol party on Sunday and it was so fun. Lots of friends and family came to see me dressed up in my hanbok. Mommy and Daddy put all different things out on the floor for me to pick and each thing represented my future. I picked the calculator, pencil (scholar/student) and the red and blue string (long life/happy marriage). Everyone clapped for me and thinks I will be very successful and happy. I think so too! Here are a few pictures from the big party...you can also see the whole album here.

Birthday Party

11 Months Old
I'm almost 11 months old now and doing so many things. I can stand up by myself and walk a bit when I'm holding on to things. I say "Mama, Appa" (Korean for daddy) and "Uh Oh!" I eat lots of different foods and love to take drinks out of mommy and daddy's cups no matter what they're drinking. We are moving into a new house soon and I will miss our old apartment but I'm going to have so much more room to play. I am also sad to be leaving my daycare and Mrs. Effie who I love so much. She has been taking care of me since I was 4 months old. I will make new friends at my new daycare and have a fun summer. We are planning my first birthday party - it is going to be so fun. I promise to tell you all about it!

Me and my big head!
Trip to TX
10 months old today
I'm 10 months old today - whoa! Just a couple more months until my big first birthday party! I do so much now - crawl everywhere and stand up on just about anything. I can even stand for a few seconds by myself with no help! I'll be walking soon for sure! Here's some pics mommy took of me today on my 10 month birthday.
